Sometimes people have to have corrective surgery to make them healthier. And sometimes people use needing corrective surgery to justify getting plastic surgery, a la getting a nose job and having your deviated septum fixed in the same procedure. Now, we’re not saying that’s what Bristol Palin plastic surgery did, but she has admitted that her brand new face came from a surgical procedure.
Bristol Palin plastic surgery told Us Weekly that she had corrective jaw surgery in December, to which we can attribute the longer, thinner face she unveiled at the White House Correspondent’s Dinner. Palin’s dentist told her she needed the surgery so that her teeth would align properly. Because somehow, braces and other corrective devices developed by Western science simply could not curtail what must have been a monster overbite.
Many media outlets are speculating the single mom and daughter of Sarah Palin might have gotten some plastic surgery pointing out her angular jawline and more pronounced cheekbones.
New Jersey board certified plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Glatt tells Reality Tea, “Bristol appears to have lost a significant amount of weight, which is responsible for some of the differences in her look. In addition, she seems to have had some liposuction of her neck area under her chin which has produced a much more defined jawline and lower facial area.”
Dr. Glatt adds, “She may have also had a chin implant to better define this area. Her lower lip appears much more full and it is likely she had injections of Juvederm into her lower lip.”
“Yes, it improved the way I look, but this surgery was necessary for medical reasons,” she told the magazine for its May 23 issue, which will be on newsstands Friday.
Bristol Palin also told the magazine she wouldn’t get elective surgery unless she “got in an accident or something terrible and got disfigured.”
Again, we’re not saying she’s lying, but it wouldn’t be the first time someone used the need for corrective surgery to cover up changing the way their face looked — it’s the main plot line for an episode of Glee. Take a look at some before and after pictures of Bristol below.
